Are you ready for dinner?
We are! Our garden apprentices spent the morning harvesting peppers, kale and more from our Sankanac CSA – ingredients which will be included in our upcoming What’s for Dinner? hyper-local farm to table dinner event, set for Friday, September 26.
This talented crew will also be participating in the event as our knowledgeable wait staff and will be able to answer questions about the ingredients, the growing process and more.
While the apprentices and gardeners have been working hard outside, Chef Seth Williams has been working hard preparing the menu and he has made some great choices … ready for a sneak peek?
The hors d’oeuvres will include Pickled Pepper Goat Cheese Crostini, made with our Sankanac CSA peppers, goat cheese from Yellow Springs Farm, and Sweet Water Baking Company bread.
Our salad course will be Toasted Kale and Mixed Greens, from the Sankanac CSA, served with husk cherries, sunflower seeds, Birchrun Hills Blue cheese, herb croutons and a raspberry-pecan vinaigrette.
