Spring Benefit Concert featuring Casa de Venezuela
On Sunday, March 21, 2010, Camphill Kimberton and Veninos - Venezuelan Children In Need, will jointly host a benefit concert in Rose Hall at Camphill Village Kimberton Hills.
The concert's lively program will feature Venezuelan folk music performed by the popular Casa De Venezuela Music Ensemble, accompanied by their vivacious dance group. Also performing will be the talented a cappella groups the Hilltones and the Hilltrebles from The Hill School, Pottstown.
A ticketed reception will follow the performance and provide the opportunity to meet with and talk to the artists. Latin American inspired refreshments will be served.
Tickets are available in advance from Camphill Village Kimberton Hills. For more information call 610-935-0300 ex. 12 or e-mail bernadette@camphillkimberton.org. Cost is $10 for students and senior citizens, $15 for general admission, and $25 for concert & reception.
On display that afternoon will be an exhibit of Venezuelan-inspired paintings by local artist, Mary Jo Kimball Hopton. Her paintings will be available to view at www.veninos.org, and on Facebook during March 2010. Additionally, Chester County scenes captured in painting by Tim Swartz, in prints by Anne Keen, and in photos by Red Hamer will be on display and also available for purchase.
