These are some of our basic requirements for admission. Please refer to the various volunteer positions for further details.

19 years or older to be a Service Volunteer or Coworker |

Basic fluency in the English Language |

In good physical and mental health |

Flexibility, enthusiasm, patience and a quality of openness and acceptance to different lifestyles and different ways of seeing the world. |

Good social skills |

Technical skills and cultural skills are useful, but not required. |

Willingness to serve others, working hand in hand with individuals of all ages and abilities from many cultures. |

LONG TERM COWORKER APPLICATION
Admissions Requirements: Coworker application, background check, references, physician form, dental note, interview, week-long trial visit, and a signed service description are all required before a coworker’s arrival. All policy sheets and the general information sheet need to be completed upon arrival.

GARDEN APPRENTICE APPLICATION
Admissions Requirements: Apprenticeship application, background check, 3 references, physician form, dental note, interview, brief trial visit, and signed service description are all required before an apprentice’s arrival. All policy sheets and the general information sheet need to be completed upon arrival.

 INTERN APPLICATION
Admissions Requirements: An intern application needs to be completed along with a medical statement, a background check, and two reference checks. The general information sheet needs to be completed upon arrival as well as signing the Kimberton Hills policy sheets.

PRACTICANT APPLICATION
Admissions Requirements: A practicant application needs to be completed, and a general information sheet and all village policy sheets need to be signed before the practicant’s arrival. A reference letter from the school is required, as is a release form for any practicant who is 18 years of age or younger. An administrative fee of $50 and transportation fee (if help with transportation is requested) must be paid prior to the practicant’s arrival.

DAY VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
Admissions Requirements: A non-resident volunteer registration form is required to be on file in the Development Office. Two references must be checked and a photo identification check is performed. Day volunteers must adhere to all village policies, including the drug and alcohol policy.

VOLUNTEER GROUP APPLICATION
Admissions Process: The Group Volunteer Coordinator handles the admissions process for groups who will volunteer for more than a day. (Volunteer Groups serving for just one day are handled by the Development Office.) Kimberton Hills requires a signing statement from the group. Members of this group do not complete applications individually.
