• 1 head lettuce (arugula would be a nice addition too)

  • 1 cup strawberries

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 2 minced garlic scapes

  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard

  • salt and pepper to taste

 

Toast sesame seeds in a dry skillet, tossing often, let cool. In a small bowl combine sugar, garlic scapes, red wine vinegar, dry mustard, salt and pepper. Whisk in olive oil in a thin stream. Adjust to taste.

In a large bowl add lettuce, arugula and strawberries. Toss with dressing and sesame seeds. Fresh dill makes a nice garnish. Serve with your favorite protein (hard boiled egg, fish, chicken).  Enjoy!
