Concert of Piano Music by Grigory Smirnov September 21

Grigory Smirnov is a composer and pianist working with Eurythmy Spring Valley. His music has been performed worldwide in major venues, such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Tanglewood Festival, Moscow Philharmonic Hall, and the Goetheanum. As a regular pianist for the Eurythmy Spring Valley Ensemble and School, he has extensively performed both in Spring Valley and on tours across the United States over the recent years, including frequent appearances at Camphill Kimberton Hills. He composed special music as part of the tour program “A Shovel of Stars Overhead: Where to? What next?” and other eurythmy performances. Originally from Siberia, Russia, Grigory Smirnov received his master’s degree at The Juilliard School in New York and has been living and working in the United States ever since.

For his first solo piano concert at Camphill Village Kimberton Hills, Grigory Smirnov has selected a varied group of his compositions written in the last 13 years and concluding with his very recent Preludes.
