German roots to local friend

Dagmar was born in Germany in 1948. Her family moved to Philadelphia where they resided until 1964, when Dagmar moved to Chester County. She has been a longtime friend of the Kimberton Hills community and can be seen frequenting the Café and many of our events. When she decided to exhibit some of her photography, our Café was the most natural place to choose.

An artist’s perspective

Dagmar considers herself an explorer of the Arts. Most of what she does is self-taught. She enjoys writing poetry, as well as taking photos. For her, the photos she takes come out expressing a mood or something beautiful in the moment.

Sharing her art and Camphill Village Kimberton Hills with the local community.

A friend of the community since the 80’s, Dagmar really likes the idea of her photos being in our Café. She shared, “I thought this would be a wonderful way to introduce people to Kimberton Hills by inviting them to the Café to see my photos.” She loves to share the community with others and having them come experience for themselves. Her favorite parts of Kimberton Hills include, “The farm to table food, the free will offering that so many bring to the community in various ways, and the profound beauty of the land.” She also appreciates the intentional healing lifestyle adopted by those that call Camphill Village Kimberton Hills home.

Dagmar knows her exploration of photography will continue. She doesn’t know exactly what’s next, but she’s enjoying the unknown aspects of the process as well.
