Spirits Were High at the (Rainy) 2026 Hootenanny
We may have picked the rainiest day of the year for our 2026 Hootenanny celebration, but that didn’t stop Camphill Village’s residents and friends from coming out to enjoy music, food, and camaraderie on Saturday, May 23rd.
Food was prepared by Chef Nels Benton, complemented by homemade desserts made by each of CVKH’s village houses. Music included live performances by One Quality Sound, Paper Graves, and Piper Down, with 3 Peas in a Pod providing music for the Contra Dance that wrapped up the day’s festivities.
The brand-new pavilion on the green was put to good use for its inaugural event, providing shelter for the musicians and plenty of room for dancers and revelers. Our big tent also sheltered attendees from the rain as our craft workshops displayed their wares and the community gathered for activities and crafts.
Thanks to all who attended, those who helped with set-up and clean-up, and to everyone who contributed to a wet, memorable, and spirited return of Camphill’s Hootenanny tradition. We’ll see you at the 2027 Hootenanny!
